The South East Womens Football Grand Finals will be streamed Live through the SEWF Facebook page on Sunday September 4th at Frankston Park (Skybus Stadium).
The live coverage will begin from 10:55AM (11AM start time) for the Division 3 Grand Final with Cerberus versing Lang Lang in what promises to be a close encounter like their last clash in the Qualifying Final that resulted in a 2-point win to Cerberus who gained automatic entry into the Division 3 grand Final off the back of it. Lang Lang then had the 2nd chance against Mornington’s Development side and proved to be too strong in the end, advancing themselves through to a Grand Final off the back of a 42-point win.
The Division 2 Grand Final kicks off from 1PM, with two Gippsland rivals the Warragul Industrials & Bass Coast Breakers going head-to-head, in what also promises to be a Grand Final for the ages. The “Dusties” have won both previous encounters between the two sides this year, however one of which was by a single point.
The last game of the day, the Premier Division Grand Final, will kick off from 3PM live with commentary, with the Seaford Tigers doing battle with the Coburg Lions. This match should not disappoint, as Coburg had Seaford’s measure during the Home & Away season (despite winning 2 out of 3 games by 12 points or less), but the Seaford girls were able to clinch victory in an epic Qualifying Final showdown by 3 points two weeks ago!
Congratulations to all 6 teams who have made the Grand Final this year, and good luck to all players, umpires, volunteers, and officials for what promises to be a fantastic day out at Frankston Park on Sunday. See you all there!
